Doctor of Chiropractic

Recognized by Chiropractic professionals throughout the United States, Patrick C. Andersen, DC is a Board Certified Chiropractic Orthopedist. He has extensive training with certifications in sports injuries, spinal trauma (whiplash), extremity adjusting and nutrition. He had served as post-graduate faculty member at four chiropractic colleges.

Southern Wisconsin residents may recognize him from his health and wellness TV show “Maximized Living with Dr. Patrick Andersen” (on Channel 57 playing 7 times a week.)

His experience and expertise have lead him to teach over 2000 hours of continuing education to doctors of chiropractic throughout the United States, Canada & Europe. He has been a board member of the Council on Extremity Adjusting (an international certification body) for over 35 years.

As an active member of the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association, he has served on the peer review committee and is past chairman of the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association Sports Injury Committee. He has also served as a test examiner for the Wisconsin Chiropractic Examining Board for the licensing of Chiropractors.

He has been active in sports injury care as the team chiropractor for the Wisconsin Wrestling Team, director of the weight training team for the Wisconsin Special Olympics, a treating doctor for the U.S.A. National Power Lifting Championships, and invited treating doctor at the N.C.A.A. track and field championships.

Dr. Andersen is also a “fellow” in the American Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists. He is past president of the West Town Optimists Club.

Dr. Andersen was born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, where he graduated from Assumption High School. After attending the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, he was accepted to the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. During the course of his chiropractic schooling, he received special awards as head intern in spinal biomechanics and for superior clinical proficiency. He attained the degree “Doctor of Chiropractic” in 1977.

Dr. Andersen first became interested in chiropractic care at an early age. While he was involved in competitive weight lifting, he utilized chiropractic care and ultimately placed first in the national power lifting championships as a teenager. To this day, Dr. Andersen continues to recommend a variety of specific exercises as an adjunct to speedy recovery and as a part of a holistic approach to health care and Chiropractic.

Dr. Andersen’s goal is the help raise awareness of the benefits and efficiency of chiropractic care and to help Madison Maximized Living become the finest clinic possible.

Dr. Andersen lives in Fitchburg.  His adult daughter, Amanda, is also a Chiropractor practicing in Denver, Colorado. His son, Anthony, is at the Sacramento Ballet Company in Sacramento, California.  His son, Dominic, is at the Berkley School of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.  Besides spending time with his family, he enjoys golfing, movies, and weight training.
